Look, Ma!
We recently went to see visit our extended family who lives about an hour an a half away.
We hadn't seen them in a very long time. Too long.
I found myself wondering if their kids would remember us at all.
The oldest just turned five with the next in line not far behind her as well as two year old twins - I knew they wouldn't remember us.
It had been awhile. I know that kids can be shy. I thought it might take some time to warm up to us.
Not with the Graham kids!
I can't explain how refreshing it was. They greeted us at the door with smiles.
That is a very "Graham" way to be - all smiles and very welcoming.
After being at their house a little while I got a request from the oldest child.
"Would you take pictures of me riding my bike?" she asked.
I was most honored to do the job. She had recently got her training wheels taken off and she was officially a bicycle rider!
As her mom and I watched her take off down the street, her back was to us. Her mom told me to wait to see her face when turned around in the cul de sac and headed back our way. And when she did head our way, her face was beaming! She was so proud of being able to ride with just two wheels.
One of my favorite assignments I've been on!
You did awesome, Isabelle! We hope to see you again very soon!
...and more photos of those cute Graham kids to come!
