Not long ago I heard that brides and grooms were doing a "first look",

first look at each other right before the wedding.

No waiting to see each other at the alter.

At first I thought I wouldn't want to do this myself,

too late for all of that of course...but, would I have wanted to?

No way!  There is something about not seeing each other until that point that's....

*this is where you think seeing each other at that moment is just wonderful and magical*

...but really I don't remember actually looking at Josh during our wedding.  Not actually appreciating that moment at least.

Do you remember any of that moment as a bride??

I remember my heart pounding in my ears,

hating all of the attention on me...

wondering if my dad and I were walking down the aisle too fast...

and Lord, please don't let me pass out - those were the thoughts going through my head.

I was not soaking in the moment.  That is what made me realize - a "first look" before the ceremony would have been wonderful.

When Jenny told me that her and Bill wanted to do a first look with each other excited me.  I was going to have front seat tickets

to watch two fantastic people experience their first look.

They didn't disappoint.
