Vinny’s 5th Birthday
Last Wednesday my youngest sweetie pie turned five years old. It is hard to believe it has been five years already. If I were him, I would think that this birthday was the best ever. He loves snow. The night before his birthday, we had weather that delivered a foot of snow which closed schools for his big day. The older kids were able to stay home and go sledding with him.
Then it was cake time.
He wanted Spongebob.
When we talked about what kind of birthday cake he wanted, I was on Pinterest looking for ideas. He saw this lovely rainbow layered cake. He said, I want a Spongebob rainbow cake. I thought, "yeah, right! Look how hard that looks!" Fortunately for me, Amanda at Maddie Cake Bakery came to the rescue. When I asked her {timidly} about the rainbow part of the cake, she said "no problem!" without hesitation. I knew it was going to be amazing! Not only that, but the flavor of the cake was strawberry lemonade. Tasty!
He was pleasantly surprised and we all oooh-ed and ahhhh-ed over the cake.
After having children for almost fourteen years now, I figured Chuck E Cheese wouldn't be busy during the day on a school snow day, so that is what we did in the late afternoon.
He had a blast and won more tickets than the older kids.
Alyssa was awesome, helping him decide what to get all of his winnings.
Looking forward to many more fun days like this with my loves
Adorable! These pictures really capture the innocence, and I love that he celebrated his birthday topless!
Thank you! He is funny…seems like he is topless a lot these days!
