Remember when…
I noticed this a few weeks ago and realized how funny this is.
Self - as in self serve.
Remember when you could choose if you wanted someone to pump your gas for you?
No? Then you were probably born in 1980 or later.
I find it funny that they still post "Self" on some pumps - because they don't offer someone to pump your gas, do they?
Way back then - back in the day - if you had your gas pumped for you, it was extra.
I also remember when gas was .94/gallon.
But I won't go on and on about how expensive gas is now. We know, we all know.
*I also have a friend that lives on the edge and keeps her car running while she pumps gas. She gets this picture via text at least once a year reminding her that she is indeed a risk taker.
Those were the days when you didn’t have to get out in the rain or cold to pump your gas. Just let the grease monkeys do it. :)
I’m glad gas prices dropped to about $3.30 before we drove west this last week. We hit California and are paying $4.30 now.
oh for the record I leave the car running when I pump gas with my family in the car while using my cell phone. :P
